iDEA’S FROM THE FAR CORNER
±1 Sexbots
Yuk! We know what you mean, those sex dolls are quite repugnant.
Why would anyone choose a doll? Anyway what kind of person wants sex with a piece of plastic?
Unquestionably we humans are far chipper when sexually active. The regular releasing of those delightful endorphins swimming around our chemical brain-pools adds a skip in our step, providing a funkiness to our daily doings.
Men certainly have been obsessed with sex throughout history, resulting in a shameful amount of deeds against women. Thankfully the world is evolving in this respect. But should we really suppress our sexual desires? Isn’t that the problem? Letting them fester to manifest in wicked ways. Wouldn’t it be smarter to acknowledge and deal with them?
Imagine being able to have sex whenever you want. Whatever kind of sex you want. No guilt. No bad deeds. No human abuse.
Isn’t that somewhat appealing?
So here’s the idea, let's use...Sexbots!
Okay, agreed its not for everyone. There's a few mental obstacles to hop over; some people are locked into old fashioned victorian attitudes towards sex. Although, the bigger issue here is probably our absurd porn influenced notions of what is desirable.
A new generation of sexbots are soon be unleashed and set to be next level authentic. Heaters inside their bodies will make them feel warm. Skin will be textured and speech more realistic. On the sex side, vaginas will be moist and able to contract.
Beginning to feel a bit odd? Relax and reflect on this…
Over the past 50 years, love and sex have become quite segregated. While we engage in more sexual encounters and discuss the topic openly these days. Relationships are suffering, divorce and separations are sky-rocketing, with most men seeking a better sex life and most women seeking a better relationship. Surly, one is dependent upon the other?
Perhaps this is the predicament a long term relationship must resolve.
We’re being exposed to sexual imagery thousands of times each day, triggering our impulses to new levels. While porn is no longer the exclusivity of men, we’re pushing the boundaries of what we view, growing stimulated by more bizarre acts. Can you morally justify someone’s daughter or son being paid to have sex for you to watch? Is this really better than using a sexbot for personal pleasure - who is being exploited here?
Loneliness is the enormous white elephant in our lives, the world is brimming with individuals who don't have any physical contact with another. The Covid pandemic spotlighted the problem with porn sites gaining more traffic in 6 months than the past 3 years combined! Solo sex is okay, but lacks the intimacy of another body - it's also detrimental physically and mentally. Strap on all the religious guilt embedded in our psyche, it's little wonder depression and anxiety are so predominant these days.
When the sex drive is unfulfilled, something strange happens dependent on your sexual upbringing. You become increasingly desperate in potential mating situations. As time passes, you grow less confident or more primitive.
So either you withdraw or go into predator mode.
The frustration of wanting sex and knowing there are millions of others in precisely the same situation, yet somehow you still cannot find a sexual partner cannot be overemphasised. A sexbot cannot replace a real person, with all our beautiful sexual quirks, intricacies, and intimate body anxieties. Still, it may serve at a particular moment. If this strange connection can eliminate some of the issues attached to loneliness or desires, perhaps we should not judge it as such an awful thing.
Hold tight, here comes a curveball...our sexual desires do not diminish with old age. Imagine, being single in your 60’s - the prospect of a sexless future is grim to say the least, It’s no wonder the grey generation are so frigging grumpy!
Speak intimately with the older gen; you’ll find them enthusiastic, but with a surprisingly high expectation of what a sexual partner should look like. Certainly a lot higher than their own condition might merit. Sexbots don’t have to look 21-years-old, they could come in all ages, shapes, colours, sizes, be male or female or trans.
Brothels are already considering sexbots. A human-less brothel must be a valid option. Choose your programme, pay in private, do your thing and leave. No awkward communications. No human trafficking. No abuse. Selling sex is never going to stop, maybe using a sexbot should be viewed as an acceptable transaction in a progressive society.
Another welcome loss in a rubber revolution would be sexually transmitted diseases — syphilis is up 52 per cent in the last decade, chlamydia a third. Any debate about machines replacing human interaction is wonky. That moment is long behind us, we spend hours upon hours on devices in virtual spaces.
Yes, there will be negatives; people being too depended on them as companions. Become obsessed, or practice horrid acts. Plus there will be those who fall in love. However, these may be easier to overcome than the myriad of violent and isolation problems we complicated humans are currently struggling with. Consider a step in the right direction.
If in 2005 you were told, porn would come in 50+ categories, be available 24/7 on your phone to watch anywhere. You would have probably laughed your pants off;) Maybe we should accept sexbots as another page in our sexual evolution.
Through millennia, we humans have sought sexual stimulation, it's nothing modern. Previously, there's been some despicable behaviour. If someone can satisfy their needs, enhance their life experience without harming or infringing upon yours or hurting another, why not? Who is the moral judge here?
By the way, on the subject of sex with plastic — vibrators are plastic and no-one is ugh-ing at people using them.
In fact, they’ve been quite liberating!
These are a few meditative reflections from 3000monks
Not to induce a For or Against debate or create an attitude where you must take sides…it’s merely an idea!
