Mr Trump Is Good For The World!
Donald Trump is a 72-year old man, who has revealed himself as a vulgar individual with shameful ethics and moral character. Yet, this wonky human could well be good for the rest of the world!
The Donald Trump Show has just finished its first season, a daily drama featuring sex, lies, money, crime racism, xenophobia and bullying. Think Dallas for the 21st century with a racist twist and less attractive actors!
Everyone's watching, and that's powerful. His antics have saved sinking ships like television and newspapers.
Mr Trump's chequered past says he's a con artist. Grifters always denounce anyone able to expose them.
So the media is called fake, his own FBI and Justice Department called corrupt. The art of the con is to make us think we are smart, they are dumb. While we're laughing at the show. He and his wealthy friends are ripping up global agreements, to renegotiate new deals which include them. As always it's about money.
America has a record of lousy leaders. Remember the Ronald (McDonald) Reagan years?
The dangerously hateful George big Bush. Bill Clinton played sax (yes that says sax) while he ripped up democracy to let corporations rule politics. Then there was George little Bush who wasn't even in charge! Barrack Obama. An intelligent, articulate and politicly perfect performer, who continued all the bad things backstage, while charming the pants off us.
Let's remind ourselves had it not been Mr Trump, it would have been Mrs Clinton another 72-year-old. It's not a long stretch to imagine had she won. Congress/Senate blocking her every move, corporate-friendly government appointments and an FBI investigation...sound familiar?
Strangely, Americans like voting for the showmen, warmongers, racists, corporate puppets, and those playing the long con, not always but quite often.
In truth, America has been in decline financially, morally and spiritually, way before Mr.Trump's entrance. The power Europe and America has enjoyed is nearing its 2,000-year run. It may take a generation or so, but the process has begun.
Nations who previously ruled the world, did so principally on commerce and violence. The Egyptians Greeks, Romans, French and Britons all fell, not because of lack of business or strength, but due to financial overspending.
Being in charge of the world is a devilishly expensive business.
$18 trillion in debt and rising, the average wage in the US has stagnated for half a century, Gun violence kills more Americans in a single year than all wars or acts of terrorism over the past 20 years. Addiction to prescribed drugs is way out of control. While the arguments of social justice warriors and the far right feel equally poisonous.
Feels like America is heading somewhere quite ugly...
History confirms empires often end with absurdly wicked rulers whose methods eventually caused implosion. We seem to be witnessing the farewell tour of another realm. It could end extremely badly for a nation prone to violence with gun ownership abundant.
The Asians are waiting to fill their shoes, and while the future looks bright for them. Perhaps diffused power is a better option, a single nation bullying everyone else has not been a marvellous model.
Here in the 21st century, we are beginning to oppose violence against other nations for profit. It's a slow train, but its rolling towards a higher moral standard, where the rights of nations are given and respected.
We are no longer savages and must not behave as so.
Letting go may well benefit the USA, previous empires have become far nicer places since they stopped telling everyone else what to do and focused on putting their own house in order (yes Britain we know you still have some work to do!)
Leaders like Mr Trump are from a bygone era, their views reflect elapsed times.
Watching the show is okay. Do remember its a show, don't get duped, dejected or mad. It's just a show.
As leaders and governments discover they cannot constrain us as they once did, they attempt to divide us using hate,
but this is an old game game played only by the unenlightened.
While many Americans are appalled by Mr Trump's election; the fact that a lousy TV personality who openly displayed disturbing beliefs succeeded to president, is a verification of their condition.
A culture obsessed with money, fame and power, may have to concede Mr Trump is self-inflicted karma.
