MR. TRUMP COULD BE GOOD FOR THE WORLD !
Donald Trump is a 71-year old man, who has publicly exposed himself as a self-centred, dishonest, distasteful individual. His moral and racial compass is beyond wonky, and his political behaviour and use of social media are tacky and offensive. These are horrible traits for any human being, let alone a 21st-century world leader. Yet, without intention,
Mr. Trump may be pushing the world forward!
For sure Mr. Trump is doing a stellar job in providing newspapers, talk shows and comedians with jaw-dropping material. However, buried amongst the lunacy there's a bigger story…about how a nation that innovated and shaped the second half of the 20th century managed to lose their mojo
So how did we get here? Well, everything was going great - then came the comedy years of Ronald (McDonald) Reagan,
we wondered how he became president - deciding it was just more bad acting. He was followed by George Bush senior, who was one serious dude, and hateful too! We began to notice America shouting about morals, democracy, laws, and freedoms...and doing the exact opposite when it suited them!
Big Bush didn't last long. Bill Clinton floated in. He was cool. Played sax and everyone loved him - he loved everyone he could too! His charms hid all the bad things going on backstage. Until George little Bush arrived amid a storm of election voting controversy. He was Reagan but without the personality! It was obvious he was not running the show.
So began a strange feeling about America, was it as really as good as the hype?
September 11, 2001, changed everything - innocent people dying under any circumstances is never acceptable - but the US breaking United Nations rules to begin a war, was overshadowed by the sheer arrogance exhibited while killing over 100,000 men, women, and children in Iraq. Americans were disliked around the globe and they knew it
Step in Barrack Obama...
Wow! He was the full package. Intelligent, articulate, politically smart, and personally charming. A black president, the smart wife, a 21st-century leader, calm yet inspiring. America desperately needed him and the world sighed in relief.
A lot of bad things were still going on, but the hate had subsided - they were back!
In an unbelievable first year, the pants of America have been yanked down, to expose racism, xenophobia, and hypocrisy. His “America First” policy is causing more damage and ridicule to the US world standing than any terrorist group or rival nation could dream about! Amazingly America has removed itself from being part of the solution, on two of the biggest global problems facing humanity: Climate Change and Nuclear Agreements. This is not the behaviour of a leading nation, more a prototype of a vain and selfish nation
Let's nudge our memory to recall Mrs. Clinton, the other controversial candidate, also 71 years-old. Considering the venomous nature of the election - it's not a stretch to imagine had Mrs.Clinton won - Republican Congress blocking her moves, an FBI investigation, bad appointments and the fake news machine in a feeding frenzy
So don't be upset, disappointed, surprised or distracted by Mr. Trump's circus, he's simply another bad president in a long 40-year line of lousy leaders, who have slowly broken America socially, morally and financially
History shows empires are based on violence plus commerce, the Egyptians Greeks, Romans, French, and Britons all crumbled, not due to lack of strength, but due to financial overspending. Empires come at a devilishly high price!
The US is $17 trillion in debt and rising! It's locked into previous century deals, such as fossil fuels, weapons, and loan interest repayments. The average wage has stagnated for half a century. The 'land of the free" has more people in prison per capita than any other country. While gun violence kills more Americans in a single year, then all wars and terrorism put together since 1980! As a nation, the US looks quite toxic
In reality, the power Europe and America have enjoyed is coming to a 2,000-year-end. It may take a generation or so, but the collapse is in motion
The Asians are waiting in the wings, although their CV reads extremely well - perhaps it's time for partnerships to lead,
a single nation in power has not gone too well, has it? Here in the 21st-Century, violence against another nation for profit cannot be tolerated much longer. We are moving onto a higher living standard, where the rights of nations are given and respected. We are no longer savages and must not behave as so
America is stuck in a bygone century, its attitude and values reflect past times. Although many Americans are appalled by Mr.Trump, the fact he managed to advance into a position to become the president is a declaration of its condition…
People are intrinsically good. Sadly Americans must take some responsibly, for cultivating a society based on fame, fortune and consumption. They have been assuming they are the greatest place on earth, while paying little attention to how fast the world was progressing
The world is clearly having an odd moment, where people like Mr. Trump have risen in many countries. We must not despair, instead take a positive view - they have woken us up to the fact we must pay attention. Each of us must ask ourselves - do we want a society based on hate and fear or compassion and respect?
Maybe letting go, is a good option for America, it may help relax them as a nation. Certainly, previous rulers have become far nicer places since they stopped disrespecting others and focused on putting their own house in order
(yes Britain, we know you still have some work to do here)
France and Britain were the previous empires, what we have learned from them is; leaders of decaying empires often go beyond reason and convention, before imploding. It's a time of change, so maybe Mr. Trump is simply America's karma!
