MINDBENDING - An insane story
While some of us are gliding through space and time, experiencing this beautiful blue and green covered planet full of
awe and wonder, there are over 150 million earthlings in need of prescribed psychoactive drugs every day
Its weird they don't seem bothered these drugs are proven to be addictive, make you lethargic, feel suicidal and induce violent and homicidal behaviour. Yes anti depressants that replace your depression with suicide and violence, how's that for a warped trick !
The obvious question is why do that to yourself?? The answer is pretty simple - they've been promised these drugs will help them overcome their mental and emotional problems
The figures become uglier when you notice the number of children given psychotropic drugs - over 17 MILLION under 16 years and over 1 million under 6 years old!!
Most common disorders range from Depression and ADHD (attention deficit hyperactive disorder)
to Bipolar and Anxiety disorders. ADD/ADHD is categorised into two sets of behavioural pattens in children. 1. inattentiveness. 2. hyperactivity and impulsiveness - just take a look at the following list of symptoms, as recommended by American and British psychologist (words in red copied directly from official government health sites)
The symptoms of ADHD in children and teenagers are well defined, and usually noticeable before age 6
They occur in more than one situation, such as at home and at school. The main signs of each behavioural problem are detailed below:
The main signs of inattentiveness are:
having a short attention span and being easily distracted
making careless mistakes for example, in school work
appearing forgetful or losing things
being unable to stick at tasks that are tedious or time-consuming
appearing to be unable to listen to or carry out instructions
constantly changing activity or task
having difficulty organising tasks
Hyperactivity and Impulsiveness
The main signs of hyperactivity and impulsiveness are:
being unable to sit still, especially in calm or quiet surroundings
being unable to concentrate on tasks
excessive physical movement
being unable to wait their turn
acting without thinking
little or no sense of danger
Oh come on!! Any rational person must agree this list is pretty normal behaviour for every child and most teenagers,
in fact it would be surprising if children did not show at least 3 of these symptoms on a daily basis!
You must be extremely cruel to class a child as having a disorder based on these so-called symptoms. Yes there are children with emotional problems, but surly as human beings we cannot accept mind altering drugs are the answer?
There's a massive police record of serious acts of violence by young people, while on psychotropic drugs, not to mention the thousands upon thousands of unrecorded violent acts against family members (see sample list below)
Take a quick glance at the history of psychologist…
believed mental issues were caused by imbalance of the humorous, they claimed the best treatment was bleeding the patient using knives or leeches - not successful
Then they said...
mental problems were caused by organs such as the tonsils, stomach or the spleen, claiming the best option was to cut them out, again no success...patients kept dying!
they attempted to alter brain functions with surgery, not surprisingly this led to major brain damage and death!!
In the 1970's they turned to pills...
amphetamines to be exact, not only were these ineffective, but highly addictive and extremely damaging.
They finally had to stop when they could no longer ignore the huge amount of suicides taking place
For the past 25 years they've used another story....
claiming disorders are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, which can be restored with a pill
So what about this chemical imbalance theory? Well its exactly that - a theory.
After almost 25 years of intense research, not one single independent study has proven this theory to be true...
and who exactly is telling us this is a genuine disorder? Yes, you guessed it, psychiatrists! The same people who have been wrong throughout their entire medical history!
No blood, urine or chemical imbalance test exists today nor has it ever existed.
Please explain, how can a drug correct something which has never medically, physically or scientifically proven to exist? And how the hell does a psychiatrist know you have this chemical imbalance by just talking to you?
Sigmund Freud once told people cocaine was the answer to many problems, in his 1884 paper "On Coca"
it was later revealed Freud was sponsored by the drug company selling cocaine! Like Freud 130 years ago, today's drugs are being pushed for same reason…
Every single psychoactive drug on the market currently grosses at least 7.7 million dollars per day, yes per day!
The total each year is a whopping 330 billion dollars!! A horrific money-munching, poison distribution business, killing an estimated 500,000 people per year and causing around 5 million people to suffer severe and catastrophic side effects
By the way...if you are taking one of these drugs, officially you are medically insane.
Although the real insanity is that we are letting a brunch of Physiologists, with a massive fail rate throughout their entire history give us medical advice! Perhaps this is where the real war on drugs should be fought?
There can be a space for psychotherapy in our society. The idea of talking through problems with a trained professional, is certainly an effective way of dealing with issues for some people. There are many who practice this way and want nothing to do with big pharma companies and their pill tricks
Lets face it hanging around on this planet, can be extremely challenging. It involves making difficult choices. Some choices you make and some by those around you. Sometimes the consequences of these choices are wonderful and some strike like a thunderbolt
However if these problems are not a direct threat to your life, as terrible as they may seem at that moment...
with time, understanding, kindness or the right purpose - it will pass. You will recover and things will slowly get better
Deep down we know life's challenges must be solved with empathy, love, compassion, a change of circumstances or environment. They cannot be fixed with drugs!
If you or a loved one are recommended psychoactive drugs, if you are taking them or giving them to your children
please please explore the many alternative ways of dealing with the dilemmas and drama's that come with living on a beautifully complex little planet
We cannot promise it will be easy, but we can promise, you will not be insane!
